Is God just an evolutionary necessity?

Is God just an evolutionary necessity?

“The God-idea met human needs, not vice versa.”

Have you ever come across an argument denying the existence of God that you’ve never heard before? First Peter 3:15 tells us to always be ready to give an answer, but new attacks against God’s Word bombard us all the time! How do we respond to arguments that seem brand-new?

1 Cor 14:33 – Confused Critics, Not God

1 Cor 14:33 – Confused Critics, Not God

Problem: One of the many criticisms that skeptics have leveled against the Bible writers is that the Scriptures paint a contradictory picture of God, specifically regarding whether or not God “authors confusion.” Since God confused the language of man at Babel (11:1-9; apparently in the days of Peleg—Genesis 10:25), then, allegedly, Paul’s claim that “God is not the author of confusion” (1 Corinthians 14:33) must be erroneous. How could He purposefully confuse mankind, while at the same time not be the “author of confusion”?

Disasters–What Did Jesus Say to Us?

Disasters–What Did Jesus Say to Us?

DISASTERS-WHAT DID JESUS SAY?
(Luke 13:1-5)

What did Jesus say to do in a time of disaster? There were two disasters that The Lord talked about.

The first one was about those who lost their lives because of Pilate, and also those who lost their lives because the Tower of Siloam fell on them.

What is Salvation?

What is Salvation?

Every rational human being recognizes that he has a “Threefold Need.” (1). In regard to YESTERDAY. Why? Because “yesterday” was the day of SIN. What are we to do with the past years? We cannot live them over again, nor balance them by “Works of” Supererogation.” (2). In regard to TO-DAY. If I have managed to provide for the sin of yesterday, what am I to do for today? For today if there is no change in my nature I will sin as yesterday. (3). In regard to TOMORROW. Suppose that I have been able to make provision for the past and the present, for yesterday and today, what am I to do for tomorrow? for tomorow will come with the same old forms of temptation, the same old suggestions to evil, the same helplessness to overcome sin as in the past. From this we see that we need PARDON for the Past, PURITY for the Present, and POWER for the Future. Where are we to get them?

Jesus Christ. The First , The Last, The Eternal. Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

We all want to love God more than anything and give Him the priority in our lives but……The truth is that most of us aren’t there yet. Why?maybe because we don’t know that we love other things more than we love God.Love isn’t something you can show or give with word’s but with your acts.

1 Cor 13:4 – Love is not Jealous, so Why is God?

1 Cor 13:4 – Love is not Jealous, so Why is God?

Problem: The argument goes something like this: (1) 1 John 4:8 indicates that “God is love;” (2) 1 Corinthians 13:4 says that “love is not jealous” (NAS); and yet (3) Exodus 20:5, along with several other passages, reveals that God is “a jealous God.” “How,” the skeptic asks, “can God be jealous when several verses say God is love and 1 Cor. says love is not jealous?” (McKinsey, 1992). Simply put, if love is not jealous, and God is love, then God logically cannot be called jealous. Or conversely, if love is not jealous, and God is jealous, then God cannot be considered loving. Right? How can these verses be anything but contradictory?

1 Cor 11:3 – In What Way was God Greater than Jesus?

1 Cor 11:3 – In What Way was God Greater than Jesus?

Problem: According to the apostle John, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:1,14, emp. added). Unquestionably, this Word (God), Whom John claims became flesh, was Jesus Christ (1:17). This same apostle recorded other statements in his account of the Gospel that convey the same basic truth. He wrote how, on one occasion, Jesus told a group of hostile Jews, “I and My Father are one” (10:30). Later, he recorded how Jesus responded to Philip’s request to see God by saying, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (14:9). He even told about how Jesus accepted worship from a blind man whom He had healed (9:38; cf. Matthew 8:2). And, since only God is to be worshipped (Matthew 4:10), the implication is that Jesus believed He was God (cf. John 1:29,41,49; 20:28; Mark 14:62).
