Should Christians Observe Halloween

How should Christians approach Halloween and is there a biblical way to observe this secular holiday? See this controversial question, “Should Christians observe Halloween?” With no direct references to Halloween in the Bible, resolving the debate can be a challenge both to those who are religious Christians and those who are biblical Christians.
If you have been saved for any period of time then you have discovered what I have discovered and that is Christians have different perspectives on the observance of Halloween and are strongly divided whether it’s the Holiday’s or doctrine of demons!
Under the guise of Christianity we have a lot of spiritual confusion going on through out the body of Christ and that is Satan’s plan to cause confusion. No matter what the topic! Is there is always someone who don’t agree!
So, what is so sad here, is that there are unsaved people who look at the religious Christians, and the biblical Christians, and see us not as unity in Christ but sees us as disunity in Christ that we cannot even agree whether to be a part of Halloween or not.
Search your heart as you read this to see if its not true, really! I met and talked with some believers who feel and believe that they have complete freedom to observe the holiday maybe you have met someone like that as well.
I have met and talked with other Christians who run and hide from Halloween, and other Christians who simply boycott or ignore it, by going to a movie or going out to dinner. So as you can clearly see like I said Christians have different perspectives on the observance of Halloween, I ‘am certain that you hold one of these views what ever it may be.
To be honest have you ever consider that each month of our very calendar is name after a Pagan god! do you know that each day of the week is named after a Pagan god! And yet no one seems to be bother by all of these other gods. As symbolic as these things may be people for the most part are not praying to these false gods, and that’s my point its symbolic!
Children going up and down the streets through out this country are not practicing Halloween like the Druids.
Here is a passage Deu 18:10-11 Don’t you dare sacrifice your son or daughter in the fire. Don’t practice divination, sorcery, fortunetelling, witchery, casting spells, holding seances, or channeling with the dead.
Really! Folks look at the passage the word DON’T do what? Don’t practice divination, sorcery, fortunetelling, witchery, casting spells, holding séances, or channeling with the dead. Notice! Nothing about dressing up its talking about people doing things. Now if you have children doing these things with their friends or in their room then it’s a different story.
Listen, I know that a lot of you are not going to agree with me and that is fine but like I said as Christians we do not agree with other Christians and that is the truth.
Children are not practicing Halloween like the Druids did and children are not doing the things that are mention in Deu 18:10-11.
But yet every time the Holiday’s come around there are those that scream out against the Holiday’s but remain silent when it comes to our Pagan roots when dealing with our calendar and the days of the week?
As for me and my house I celebrate it through a more positive and imaginative observance or as I call it a Christian alternative to Halloween, and that is take advantage of this dark night and let the light of God’s Word go forth.
I Use Halloween night as an evangelistic opportunity to pass out tracts when children come to my door, there is no better way to pass out tracks, when in a lot of communities, you are not allowed to go from door to door to do evangelism! But doing Halloween, you have cute little children coming to your house and not be stopped by some kind of Law.
The spiritual rewards can be great. People can read the tract get saved and may end up walking through your church door one Saturday night or Sunday morning, make no mistake about it God can do a mighty work with a tract, just sow the seed pray and let the Holy Spirit do his work. All to the glory of Christ!
Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:
