Christians look at the world today and see the foundations of morality, foundations of the country, foundations of even the church being destroyed, and we wonder, what are we to do about it? Popular men are promoting answers such as taking back the country, running for office and claiming political power, believing that Christian nationalism is the call of the day. But David gave a very different answer to the question than many would give today, and that answer has not changed.

The debate about the future of the world rages as much today as it has always, which means the interpretation of Matthew 24 and 25 are focal points of that debate. How should we view these words of Jesus? What is the point He desires for us to learn?

Paul calls upon the church in Ephesus to pray for all kinds of men, and gives numerous reasons why they should do so. Summed up, the reasons really honor God and His work through Jesus Christ and the gospel.

After warning the crowds and disciples of the fruits of false prophets, Jesus then warns them to examine themselves. We are all prone to the same fruits exhibited by false spiritual leaders, and spending all our time examining them results in a failure of watching our own lives.

How is the church to evangelize? There are many ways to build relationships with the lost, but it always must begin with prayer.

Sound doctrine always leads to love, but how does it lead to love for false prophets who make their way into the church? Paul is clear with Timothy, the correction given to these false men is how to truly love them.

Jesus here continues pointing out the fruits of the false religious leaders in His day, but these leaders are still around today. The church must heed the words of our Lord, and be ready to discern the false teachers through the fruits of their lives.
