Berean Perspective Apologetics Ministry

Throughout 2025 and 2026, a number of YouTube channels and prophetic personalities have publicly promoted specific dates or narrow windows for the Rapture. The most prominent example is South African preacher Joshua Mhlakela of Exodus 2025, who originally claimed that Jesus had revealed September 23–24, 2025 as the date of the Rapture. When that date passed, additional dates followed, including October 6–7, October 16–17 and November 2025 dates. In 2026, the predictions continued with April 4–5, May 1–2, May 4–5, May 8–9, May 14, June 6–7, June 21–22, June 27–28, July 4–5 and other proposed dates, followed by a new Tishri 1/October 2026 framework. Other channels and individuals connected to or operating within the broader prophetic movement included Rapture 2025 Confirmation with Christy Williams Deurloo, A SERVANT OF GOD/WYNNIE, Daniel Chung, Devin Neubrander and Hlengiwe Mchunu. More recently, END TIME DREAM & VISION and Watchman River have been associated with a September 10–12, 2026 Feast of Trumpets window. The reason Christians should take this seriously is not merely because somebody got a date wrong. Christians have always been called to **test claims of revelation against Scripture**. When someone says, “Jesus told me the Rapture will happen on this particular day,” and that date passes, the Christian response should not automatically be to invent a new calendar, reinterpret the failed prediction, blame a calculation error, or wait for another revelation. Scripture gives believers a standard by which prophetic claims must be examined. Deuteronomy 18:20–22 provides the biblical test concerning someone who speaks presumptuously in God's name, while Matthew 24:36 says that concerning the day and hour of Christ's coming, no one knows. Therefore, Christians should be extremely cautious about anyone who claims special revelation that supposedly gives the precise date of Christ's return. A repeated cycle of prediction, failure, reinterpretation and another prediction should be a major warning sign, not something that Christians simply continue following. For this reason, Christians should **mark, expose and avoid date-setting ministries when their claims repeatedly contradict biblical teaching**, while doing so accurately, fairly and with the evidence in view. Romans 16:17 tells believers to watch for those who cause division and stumbling contrary to biblical doctrine, and 1 John 4:1 commands Christians to “test the spirits” rather than believe every spiritual claim. Acts 17:11 gives us the Berean model: examine what we hear by the Scriptures. The answer is not to become obsessed with predicting the Rapture ourselves, but to remain faithful to Christ, proclaim the gospel, study Scripture and refuse to give prophetic authority to people whose specific predictions repeatedly fail. The lesson from these failed dates should therefore be: **don't follow the date-setter—follow the Word of God. Test every claim. Be discerning. Stay watchful. The Book of Acts is the fifth book of the New Testament, written by Luke as a continuation of his Gospel. It records the birth and early growth of the Christian church, beginning with Jesus’ ascension into heaven and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. It covers the apostles’ bold preaching in Jerusalem, the rapid expansion of the faith among Jews and Gentiles, the conversion of Saul who became Paul, and Paul’s missionary journeys that carried the message of Christ across the Roman world. Through these events, Acts shows how the gospel moved from a small group of disciples in Judea to a growing movement that reached the ends of the known world. Christians are people who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe in the essential doctrine of the Trinity—one eternal God who exists as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—equal in power and glory yet united in essence. From the Vatican website: “A renewed Saint Agatha, restored by Vatican experts to its full splendor thanks to the meticulous conservation work on the reliquary that once covered her tomb. The faithful gathered in the Cathedral Basilica of Catania on the evening of Monday, 20 July, to admire the results of the restoration presented by the specialist team of the Directorate of Museums and Cultural Heritage of the Governorate of Vatican City State, led by Barbara Pinto Folicaldi. During the cerimony, the restored image of Saint Agatha was unveiled, revealing once again her original beauty and color. Among those speaking at the event were the Archbishop of Catania, Most Reverend Monsignor Luigi Renna, the mayor of Catania, Enrico Trantino, the Superintendent for Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Catania, Maurizio Auteri, the President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, Sr Raffaella Petrini, and the Director of Museums and Cultural Heritage, Barbara Jatta. Also present were the Secretary General of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Archbishop Giuseppe Andrea Salvatore Baturi, the Rector of the Cathedral, Monsignor Barbaro Scionti, and the Deputy Administrative Director of the Vatican Museums, Alberto Albanese.
