In this episode, we take a closer look at the UPCI’s use of the “five-fold ministry,” modern apostles and prophets, and the way certain preachers can become larger-than-life figures. Using Lee Stoneking as one example, we examine how titles, miracle stories, credentials, spiritual claims, and years of praise can build a level of authority that people stop questioning. We go back to Ephesians 4 and ask whether Paul was really describing five continuing offices and authority positions, or servants Christ gave to equip and mature His church. And we talk about why believers should be testing every claim by Scripture instead of assuming the man behind the microphone is always right. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone. - Ephesians 2:19-20 ESV
