1 Cor. 13:7 – Should Christians believe all things?

Problem: Does this passage teach that Christians should be gullible?

Solution: The context of this passage tells us that a Christian “rejoices in the truth,” not falsehood (1 Cor. 13:6). This passage refers to refraining from cynicism –not engaging in gullibility. In other words, we should learn to believe in people –even as we recognize their shortcomings and problems.

“Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. (1 Cor 13:7)”
