Problem: Leviticus 5:15 instructs that one “bring to the Lord an offering.” But a few verses later it says to “bring it to the priest” (v. 18).
Solution: It was brought to the priest to be offered to the Lord. In Israel, the priests were the representatives of the people to God, as prophets were God’s representatives to the people.
