Homosexuality is potentially the most controversial, the most divisive, the most dangerous issue facing Christians, America, and the world.
Straight or Bi or LGBT ????
There is a completely new terminology listing within this subculture of sexual deviancies that is commonly called homosexuality. Only a few will be listed.
A pro-gay alliance on Michigan State University’s campus states the following: “A woman who is sexually attracted primarily to women is called a lesbian. A man who is sexually attracted primarily to men is called a gay man. A person who is attracted to both men and women is called a bisexual person or a “Bi” person. Together, they are often referred to as lesbigay or LBG people.” Let’s make it as ‘socially acceptable’ as possible I guess.
My favorite (sic) term is ‘transgendered’. Another acronym is ‘LGBT’, which stands for ‘Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgendered’. I don’t believe that this is referring to this as a single sexual orientation to choose (sic), but that of all the ‘options’ in the rhealm of sexual deviancy! Those that are not Bi or homosexual are termed ‘straight’. So, I guess all the other ‘non-straight’ people are termed ‘crooked’! Those that are afraid of the homosexual lifestyle are termed ‘homophobes’; but they apply this term also to all those that dislike the homosexual lifestyle.
The homosexual lifestyle and all its oddities are very confusing to those of us that are….’straight’. More and more we see our society becoming ‘homogenized’! The goal is a completely ‘unigender’ society. One where everyone is considered the same and ‘anything goes’!
Minority or Mainstream?
It is estimated that between 2 and 10% of teens and adults in America consider themselves non-heterosexual. The rates are much higher for those 15 – 30.
Over a decade ago, famous homosexual advocate Mel White told Larry King (8/13/93): “We [homosexual activists] have gone underground and we have people in every one of the Religious Right’s organizations….We’re reading everything they’re putting out. We think the words from their mouths trickle down into violence. And when our evidence reaches a critical mass, we’re going to use the best attorneys in this country to bring a class action suit in 50 states to have it stopped.” Don’t think that they have lightened up on this now 12 years later! It is getting worse and worse.
Homosexuality is really getting mainstream when it has its own TV channel! “Logo” is a TV channel devoted exclusively to homosexuality. Unlike all-gay, all-the-time channels—such as Here! and Q available only through pay-per-view or subscription, Logo takes its place on basic cable…It features R-rated, gay-themed movies at night, as well as same-sex kissing and sex-talk round the clock. Logo’s emphasis is on “the gay lifestyle” and cultural advocacy. Who is the real ‘Logos’? Jesus Christ. This may very well be a blasphemous attempt by the LGBT’s.
And, just look (actually, don’t look) at most programs on tv today…they all portray homosexuality in a positive light. Some even make homosexuality one of its main themes. They want you and your children to become ‘use to’ the gay lifestyle…and it is working.
Here comes the bride!?…
We have a ‘gay-friendly’ government in office right now.
Some states allow for same-gender marriages, but for those which do not, there is a popular alternative available…that is, same-sex civil unions (or partnerships). These work much like being legally married, only you are not considered legally married…that’s about the only difference…you still qualify for all the priviledges of being married.
Don’t Discriminate
The Federal government many years ago instituted this monumental law: “The Employment Non-Discrimination Act: prohibits employers, employment agencies, and labor unions from using an individual’s sexual orientation as the basis for employment decisions, such as hiring, firing, promotion, or compensation.”
A danger to Christian employers and employees is that they must accept homosexuality or face business closure or termination. At a growing number of corporations and government agencies (AT&T, IBM, and DuPont, Depts. of Justice and Commerce, etc) they are instituting routine diversity-training programs that promote homosexual rights.
Hate Crime Time?
Bill C-250, a repressive, anti-free-speech measure that became law in Canada last year (04) adds the phrase “sexual orientation” to the Canadian hate propaganda law, thus making public criticism of homosexuality a crime. It won’t be long for Canada’s big sister (America) to follow the same suicidal steps.
In 2009, Pennsylvania passed a state law that adds the phrase “sexual orientation” to those groups that are ‘protected’ in their Ethnic Intimidation Act.
Polls have consistently demonstrated broad public support for hate crimes legislation. A 2007 Gallup poll showed that 68% of Americans favored expanding hate crimes laws to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Law of First Mention
Genesis 1:24- 31 “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed…. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth….And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good….”
From the above God ordained guidelines for sexual relationships, we learn the following:
- Stay with mom and dad until married (this will protect you from illicit relationships and fornication).

Marriage is to involve one man and one woman (no polygamy, no adulterous remarriage, no homosexual
marriage, etc).
- Nakedness in a relationship is clarified here to be ‘proper’ if it is between a male and a female and that they are
married to each other…no other options are given! All other deviations from this perfect model should cause the
participants to be ‘ashamed’! Why aren’t they!??
- God created everything ‘very good’, i.e. perfect…just the way He wanted it. Thus, God’s perfect intended plan is
for one male to marry one female; leave mom and dad; enjoy a pure sexual relationship without embarassment,
etc; ‘pro-create’ many children; rule the earth. Sadly, today many are leaving mom and dad, living on their own,
enjoying illicit sexual relationships without embarrassment, using birth control or abortion to avoid having
children, are even involved in male-male or female-female relationships, and all these are trying as hard as they
can to ‘rule the earth’!!!!
The ‘Law of First Mention’ clearly identifies the ‘model’ for marriages and sexual relationships: heterosexual. The rest of Scripture will agree with this and clarify it all the more (The Law of Progressive Mention).
Hetero is logical
Gen 2:19-22 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. …and brought her unto the man.
Adam had observed all the animals very closely, and surely noticed that each pro-created with one of the opposite gender. He also noticed that none of those was a ‘fit’ or ‘proper’ companion for him. God wanted to teach him something here about companionship. God wanted to clarify the importance of having a relationship with the proper ‘being’….a woman (not transgendered, not cross-dressed, not a ‘Steve’…)
Jesus reaffirmed O.T. teaching on heterosexuality
Matthew 19:4-6 – And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Here, Jesus Christ again reaffirms His Father’s original and only model for sexual relationships!
Can a Homosexual be saved?
1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
This verse proves that homosexuals and other sexual deviates are not necessarily doomed to Hell. Some of the people addressed were into these sins before salvation, but were later justified. There is only one unpardonable sin, that is the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost; rejecting His leading one to Christ. A homosexual can get saved.
Born Gay?!
One major debate amongst scientists and theologians involves the question: “Is Sexual Orientation a Choice?” Recently, the American Psychological Association (and many other medical groups) answered this. “Is sexual orientation a choice? No, human beings cannot choose to be either gay or straight. For most people, sexual orientation emerges in early adolescence without any prior sexual experience. Although we can choose whether to act on our feelings, psychologists do not consider sexual orientation to be a conscious choice that can be voluntarily changed. The reality is that homosexuality is not an illness. It does not require treatment and is not changeable.”
Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean stated the following in his views on homosexuality: “From a religious point of view, if God had thought homosexuality is a sin he would not have created gay people.”
Many will say that they were created by God as a homosexual. That is the same as saying you were created by God as a murderer or rapist. Utter absurdity! Hopefully, this lesson will further clarify homosexuality as an abomination to God and truly a deviant, perverse, wicked, unreasonable practice!
God is “straight” on what He says
Key statements God makes concerning homosexuality:
“…it is abomination” (Lev 18:22); “uncleanness” (Rom. 1:24); “dishonour their own bodies between themselves” (Ro. 1:24); “vile affections” (Rom. 1:26); “that which is against nature” (Rom. 1:26); “that which is unseemly” (Rom. 1:27); “reprobate mind” (Rom. 1:28); “effiminate” (1 Cor. 6:9); “abusers of themselves with mankind” (1 Cor. 6:9); “them that defile themselves with mankind” (1 Tim. 1:10); “filthy conversation” (2 Pet. 2:7); “going after strange flesh” (Jude 7).
A) Leviticus 18:22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind:
God is speaking to men. They weren’t to be physically intimate with (lie with) men. It was a command from God! Not a suggestion or something to be critiqued and argued about.
It is abomination
The word “abomination” means “extreme hatred”, “the object of detestation”, “defilement” (Webster’s 1828). God clearly views the practice of homosexuality as detestable, defiling, and has extreme hatred towards it! It is the rudest, crudest intimate act that can be imaginable. The Devil goes to the extreme opposite on anything that is viewed is pure and holy by God.
B) Ro 1:24-32
“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness” :
There is the clean and the unclean for God’s people. “Clean” deals with whether it is good for one’s body or not. Unclean items, or practices, would potentially hurt the body. Oftentimes disease would be a result (i.e. leprosy). Homosexuality breeds uncleanness to one’s body. HIV is the ultimate uncleanness it is breeding. The number one way to contract HIV is through sodomy.
“through the lusts of their own hearts,” :
How does one become an homosexual? It is through the lusts of their own hearts! Lust is what drives their sexual deviancy to the point of the unthinkable. Unchecked, unabashed lust. The homosexual always has a history of a lack of self control in dealing with sexual lust. That is why most homosexuals have many hundreds of different ‘partners’ in their life and often get involved with even more deviant abominations! Christian beware: anyone can be swallowed up into this wicked sin of homosexuality if they don’t control their lusts. It is a ‘natural’ (sinful) progression from unchecked heterosexual lusting to homosexuality and beyond!
“to dishonour their own bodies between themselves” :
The whole act of same gender relations is dishonourable, disgusting, and degrading. It is a dishonour to their very own body. It is worse than an animal. There should be no respect or honor given to people who practice this grievous sin. That dishonouring of their body will affect how they feel about themselves. They will feel vile, used, and degraded. They will lose respect for their own self and will end up with the same character as that of a harlot. Homosexuality is anything but ‘gay’…it is quite sad; homosexuals are not gay!
“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, ”
The truth of God’s Word is that homosexuality is an abomination, clear and simple. Their perverting of Scripture, and simple ignorance of Scripture, has produced theories that God allows us to practice intimacy anyway we want as long as it is between two consenting committed adults. They love perversions….especially perversions of the Bible! They are indeed perverts.
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: “
For what ‘cause’? This is teaching that homosexuality is a ‘result’ of rejecting the truth of Scripture and God. Homosexuality is a curse from Almighty God. He helps them along on their journey in prideful self-satisfaction. It appears that this ‘giving up unto’ is a total infatuation with…vile affections; i.e. homosexuality and beyond. Beware Christian…little by little it becomes more and more commonplace and socially acceptable till the point where what was once vile has now become vogue!
“for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: “
When a society’s women get involved with the sins that are usually isolated to just the men, then it is pretty bad. It used to be very proper and normal for a woman to remain a virgin until marriage; now it is considered odd, strange, and there must be something wrong with her. And, now it is totally acceptable, and even rather ‘in vogue’ for a woman to have a ‘female lover’.
A key teaching here is that of ‘natural use’ and ‘against nature’. It is natural, innate, automatic, logical, etc, for a woman to be intimate with a man and vice versa. To be intimate in a same gender context, one must do ‘unnatural’ things; absurd things; very rude and crude things.
Homosexuality is a dying breed though. Because it goes against nature, same gender couples can’t reproduce and therefore, without a heterosexual relationship, there will never be children produced…ever! Watch out though…they are very quick to adopt new stragegies! Adoption, Surrogates, Foster Care, posing in a heterosexual relationship and then getting children and moving on to a homosexual relationship!
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Jude 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
