In this video, we head to the streets outside the LA Coliseum to share Jesus Christ with anyone we could find. Today we look at three very different conversations, one with someone who is hostile, another with a person who is genuinely receptive, and one with a man who has clearly been drinking. With each interaction there is a constant reminder that we are called to, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15). The Whore of Babylon continues to seduce the nations with her immorality. In a recent school shooting in the Philippines, one of the perpetrators has been seen wearing KMFDM merchandise... the same band long associated with Columbine killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. Similar connections to KMFDM and its imagery have also surfaced in the Abundant Life Christian School shooting, adding to a disturbing pattern where the same cultural influences appear in multiple acts of school violence. The repeated presence of the same themes raises serious questions about what is shaping the worldview of those who commit these atrocities. Although KMFDM is a German industrial band, its reach and cultural impact were amplified through American media and entertainment channels, which helped globalize and normalize its darker aesthetic and messaging.
