In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?version=NKJV&amp;search=Job5.13\">Job 5:13<\/a>, Eliphaz makes the following observation which Paul quotes in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?version=NKJV&amp;search=1Co3.19\">1 Corinthians 3:19<\/a>: \u201cHe [God] catches the wise in their own craftiness.\u201d However, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?version=NKJV&amp;search=Job42.7\">Job 42:7<\/a>, God rebukes Eliphaz and his friends because \u201cyou have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.\u201d How could Paul quote Eliphaz since God rebuked him for not saying the right things?<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong> Although God rebuked Eliphaz for his overall view of God, this does not mean that every statement Eliphaz made was incorrect. There were many particular things which Job said that were not right; however, Job\u2019s view of God was right in general. At times, even Job recognized that some things that Eliphaz and his friends said were true.
