Is this the case?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong> In Jeremiah 9, the wise person is the one who obeys God to avoid judgment (Jer. 9:12, 14). Paul sees a parallel between the destruction of Jerusalem in Jeremiah 9 and the modern person\u2019s destruction through rejecting Christ. In both passages, we should not boast in wealth, might, or wisdom (Jer. 9:23; 1 Cor. 1:26). Instead, we should boast in understanding and knowing God (Jer. 9:24). This OT citation helps prove Paul\u2019s point.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>&#8220;That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
