Are All The Bibles The Same

When Jesus comes back to the earth he will be clothed. He will not come back Naked.  You will see his hands and his face.

Rev 19:11-13 – KJV (King James Version)

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

There is prophecy in the old testament that tells how the Jewish people will know  their messiah when they see him.

Zechariah 13:6 KJV (King James Version)

And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends..

Notice that the wounds are in is hands and He will get those wounds in the house of his friends.

Now let us look at some other version and see what this verse says

Let us start with the NIV (New International Version)

If someone asks, ‘What are these wounds on your body?’ they will answer, ‘The wounds I was given at the house of my friends.’

Now the NASB (New American Standard Bible)

And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will say, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’

How about the AMP (Amplified Bible)

And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

Next we will look at the (NLT New Living Translation)

And if someone asks, ‘Then what about those wounds on your chest?’ he will say, ‘I was wounded at my friends’ house!’

How about the ESV (English Standard Version)

And if one asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your back?’ he will say, ‘The wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

How about NKJV (New King James Version)

And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’

Let’s Look at the NLV (New Life Version)

If someone asks him, ‘What are these sores on your back?’ he will answer, ‘They are the sores I received in the house of my friends.’

Remember these are all the same verse (Zechariah 13:6)

Let’s see a few more starting with MSG (The Message)

And if someone says, ‘And so where did you get that black eye?’ they’ll say, ‘I ran into a door at a friend’s house.

Can you see the Jesus who is the Lord of Lords running into a door and getting a black eye?

Let’s look at the HCSB (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

If someone asks him: What are these wounds on your chest?—then he will answer: I received the wounds in the house of my friends.

Now let’ s look at NIRV (New International Reader’s Version) This is one is for kids

Suppose someone asks, ‘What are these wounds on your body?’ Then they will answer, ‘I was given these wounds at the house of my friends.’

How about the NIVIUK (New International Version UK)

If someone asks, “What are these wounds on your body?” they will answer, “The wounds I was given at the house of my friends.”

One last one CEV (Contemporary Version)

And if any of them are asked why they are wounded, they will answer, “It happened at the house of some friends.”

And the footnotes for the CEV – wounded: Probably from slashing themselves in the worship of a false god

None of these version agree, Which one is right? I am confused are you?

Yes God says in 1 Cor 14:33 – For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

If we have God’s word would there be any confusion, when God is not the author of confusion? What’s wrong did man himself go in and change God’s word?

Let us look at Psalms 12:6-7

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.

God said he would preserve them forever

So if only Jesus is clothed and only his hand and face are shown, which version would make the most sense.

We all need to take a look and make sure we have God’s real word and throw away all the other versions. One that we can stand on and do what He says. If you do not have the real word of God that how can you stand?
