1st Corinthians 12 (Part 6)

24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. (KJV)

[comely parts – presentable parts]

The last parts shows God gives more honor to the weakest parts than the parts that are not weak. This shows God’s mercy and grace . Even if you feel like you have no place and feel weak and your not important in the body you are!!! God gives you honor. I want God’s honor more than man’s.

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. (KJV)

God does not want division in his body, he wants us to treat each with love and treat each with respect.

Mark 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (KJV)

Jesus spoke these words from Mark. A divided body will fall apart. If the legs do not function the body cannot move very well. If the eyes cannot see the body run into things or fall. God is putting together his body and he wants  us not to have anyone think they are better than someone else or cause division.

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. (I Cor 12:26)

This verse tells us we all suffer if one members suffers or we all suffer, If one member receives honor than we all share in that honor.

In Acts 12 we find that Peter was arrested and thrown into jail. What did the body of Christ do at this point?  In vs 12 of Acts 12 they were gathered together and in prayer. When we see someone in suffering, what should we do?
